Gaylord, MI–Since 1939, Otsego Club in Gaylord, MI, has made its name as a private ski facility with a historic and beautiful resort. Now calling themselves Otsego Resort, they are pleased to announce that this once-private club is now open to the public!
Otsego Resort has the exceptional ability to combine the historical elements that have established and maintained the brand with high-quality snowmaking and grooming equipment. The resort has recently purchased 25 new snow guns and 2 new Sno-Cat groomers. Gaylord’s remarkably high average snowfall allows Otsego Resort to use its elevation to its advantage and offer superior skiing conditions.
Otsego Resort’s many offerings include a picturesque facility, multiple on-site dining options, including an award-winning restaurant, The Duck Blind Grille, over 8.5 miles of groomed snowshoe and cross country ski trails, sledding, bonfire pits, and of course, extraordinary skiing and snowboarding trails on the Sturgeon River Valley. Otsego Resort’s terrain parks once hosted winter Olympic teams’ practices. The resort is also available to host parties and events, such as conferences and weddings.
“We pride ourselves on offering a relaxing and casual experience with breathtaking views of the Sturgeon River Valley for families and individuals alike to take advantage of Northern Michigan’s geography, no matter the season. Otsego Resort is proud to now be offering this same private experience to the public,” commented Mike Bedells, General Manager.
