Whether sitting on a blanket in the sand, boating on the lake or chilling in a camp chair, perfect views of the Otsego Lake Fireworks are not difficult to find. Stretching for approximately 5 miles along Old 27 South, our county’s largest lake is also the staging grounds for a stunning display to commemorate Independence Day! The fireworks aren’t the only highlight this year. The Otsego Lake Association is adding an exciting twist to the fireworks display with a drone show! Watch from the beach or your boat as drones light up the sky in harmony with the fireworks. This new twist is one you definitely don’t want to miss! For the best view of this spectacular show, the optimal locations are on your boat or across from the Otsego Lake County Park. Arrive early to secure your spot and enjoy the show from the best vantage points. Check out the 2024 drone show viewing map for the best viewing areas. The quaint community of Johannesburg, located just a short drive east of Gaylord, boasts one of the most dazzling fireworks displays around! Their annual parade will also return this year – please tune in to their Facebook page for updates! Stop in for a quick bite at The Old Depot or Paul’s Pub before sitting back to enjoy the show.
