The Gaylord Disc Golf Course is located behind the Gaylord Middle School at 600 East Fifth St. It is an 18-hole disc golf course that plays through rolling fields and forest.
This course was established in 2014 as part of an Eagle Scout project and funded by the Gaylord Rotary Club. The course is located on school property and is treated as such. No alcoholic beverages or tobacco products allowed. You can easily find the next hole as you go. The first tee off is south of the parking lot off the dirt road about 5-10ft after the gate on the right. The course is locally maintained by the Gaylord Disc Golf Club. Please leave the course in the same or better condition. Have fun and post a review. 2017 Update – Gaylord Disc Golf Club Baskets moved on holes #5 & #6 to fix safety concern with hiking pathways. Garbage cans placed at holes #1, #3, #5, and #8. Please use them and pick up any trash, remember this is your course. 2019 Update – Gaylord Disc Golf Club Course has been expanded to a Full 18 Holes. Front 9 Redesigned for past safety issues. Tee signs, navigation aids, and tee pads in place on all 18 Holes. Directions: I-75 to exit 282. Head east on Main St. for 1 mile to a right on Maple Ave. Follow Maple for .3 miles where it turns to the left and becomes E 5th St. Turn right into the Gaylord Middle School. Drive past the Middle School Building. Follow pavement to dirt road and stay straight towards windmill. Dirt road ends at disc golf parking lot. First tee is south of parking lot, towards windmill on your right of the two-track.
There is also a simple kids course with open fairways to allow younger players a chance to practice and improve their game.
